InfraWorks 360 The world of Civil Release 2016.4 Highlights By Heidi Boutwell The February 2016 update of InfraWorks 360 has arrived! On February 8, 2016, a new release of InfraWorks 360, 2016.4, was made available to the public. For those of you using InfraWorks 360, you’ll want to go and check your subscription status at manage. autodesk.com. As with some 360 products, you’ll need to uninstall the old version and then install the new version. Once you install your new release, you’ll notice some signifi cant changes right off the bat. The Drainage, Bridge, or Design Roads add-on tools are no longer on the Home page. The new release has them all included in your full entitlement. The Welcome to InfraWorks 360 page lets you know all about how the specialized design tools are now included in InfraWorks 360 as part of the package. Below is a partial list of some of the new features and improvements to the 2016.4 version of InfraWorks 360. General Overall Improvements Improved Collaboration – Improved user role recognition, security, and cloud services. So why should you upgrade? First, if you’ve paid for your entitlement of InfraWorks 360, then it’s free. Second, as with all new releases of InfraWorks 360, the SQLite database fi le version will upgrade to a newer version. This means anyone that works with a model created with the newest 2016.4 version will update the database, making it impossible to open that model in InfraWorks 360 2016.3 or older. Lastly, you’ll get all the fi xes for 2016.3 and some nice new features. Proposal Merge and Data Import – Creation of proposals has been enhanced with improved data integrity and handling of edited proposals. Improved Rail Performance and Visualization – Enhanced visualization and defi nition of railways, bridges, tunnels, and underground stations. Watermarks and Points of Interest when Viewing Models in a Browser – You can now create and publish watermarks and points of interest in your model for viewing in a browser, including text, HTML tooltips, and hyperlinks to external URLs. www.cadlearning.com 11
