Get Excited for RTC North America By Jason Boehning At this year’s RTC North America, expect lots of learning, tons of networking, and, of course, plenty of good times. July Thursday 14 - Saturday 16, 2016 As we are just a few weeks away from RTC North America, I wanted to give you a little sneak peek of what I will be doing there. Plus, I want to remind you that if you have not registered, it’s not too late! Since this year’s conference is held in Arizona in July, I’ve already heard some grumblings about the heat. I’ve even questioned the location myself. While the weather may be somewhat unbearable, I can assure you that the resort where the conference is taking place will be well worth it. I have attended the past four North American conferences, and every location has been top- notch. And being from Texas, I can assure you that one of the best ways to beat the heat is to spend time in the pool! If you’ve never been to RTC before, I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is much different than other conferences. It is a relaxed, laid-back environment, where you can network and meet people without having to rush around. Yet, it is alive with fast-paced, cutting-edge learning. The speakers are industry professionals pushing the limits in the AEC industry, so it is really exciting to hear what they have to say. With only about 500 people in attendance, you will have the opportunity to find and connect with the people you are looking for. Certification Exams. This began last year and has been a big hit at the conferences. Take some time to register for a slot and get certified while you’re at RTC! And incidentally, the RTC social functions are a blast. The Friday night functions are typically events that are characteristic of the city or area. For example, this year, there will be a pool party—perfect for beating the heat. Last year in Washington D.C., everyone had dinner and hung out at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum! Saturday night is the Gala Dinner. It is the perfect time to relax and wind down from information overload! So not only are we getting to hear insights and learn tips and tricks from industry professionals, but, we are also experiencing some great venues in the city throughout the week. As for me, when I am in Scottsdale for the Some other exciting news is that CADLearning has conference, I will have three things on my mind: teamed up with RTC Events to provide FREE Revit learning, networking, and presenting. I am honored to be able to speak at the conference for a fourth www.cadlearning.com 11
