InfraChic Back on the AU Merry-Go-Round CADLearning Infrastructure Content Manager It’s that time of year again. The turkey has been bought along with all the makings for side dishes and desserts. The weather is turning cold, snowy and in some places just rainy. We fell back 1 hour for daylight savings and had some of the most creative costumes I’ve ever seen come to my door for Halloween. On top of that, right around the corner is Autodesk University. This year I’m not only attending AU as a student but also as a Speaker. My return marks a long 6 year hiatus and I can’t wait to see what new ideas have occurred in my absence. In my class Merry Go Roundabout, I’ll be speaking about creating roundabouts the easy way, with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking married with Civil 3D. I will cover creating 2D and 3D roundabouts, what is needed to create a good 3D roundabout, issues that may arise and how to address them, as well as how to drive a 3D roundabout in an animated scenario. My class is an instructional demo and, along with that demo, I will provide a step by step handout on how to do everything I just mentioned. It’s been a while since I presented, so I’ll be dusting off the “Teaching Hat” and stepping back into a role I so love to do. I can’t wait to see everyone at AU. I hope to run into old friends, make new ones and just have a Blast with all my coworkers while I’m there.
